A combined conference of the Australian and New Zealand History of Education Society (ANZHES), Mechanics’ Institutes World Wide (under the auspices of Mechanics’ Institute of Victoria), and the 10th Library History Forum. The conference provides an exciting cross-disciplinary environment for those interested in the history of the people, places and institutions that have shaped our culture and our learning. It will focus on the ways in which the stories of individuals, organisations, institutions and governments have intersected over time to promote access to learning and the diffusion of knowledge. In the spirit of intersection, the conference will offer a number of presentation formats, workshops, pre- and post-conference activities, as well as specific opportunities for postgraduate students.
